Memory from Lapland
Visit a local Lappish home and handicraft workshop and get to know the secrets of local food Today you will discover what is inside the wooden walls of a traditional Lappish home, as a local family warmly welcomes you to step in. During the visit, you will be introduced to the craft of reindeer antler carving, as your hosts are specialised in handicrafts using local natural materials. Your self-prepared piece of art you may, of course, take home as a keepsake! Afterwards you taste and learn that Finnish wellbeing comes from the nature – local snack with blueberry juice will complete the local experience.

Excursion to Ranua Wildlife Park
Experience the wild Arctic in Ranua Zoo and get familiar with the fauna of Finnish Lapland! At the Ranua Wildlife Park you meet the endangered arctic species like the polar bear, the arctic fox, the snowy owl and the musk ox, greatly threatened by climate change. Learn how those species are protected and also how injured animals are nursed and cared and let back in to the nature! Ranua Wildlife Park is a Zoo but is also committed to protecting endangered animal species and helping encourage people to be part of protection programs. You will have time to visit souvenir and wine shops before the journey back to Rovaniemi.

Riverboat cruise to a reindeer farm
Get inspired by Arctic lifestyle on a riverboat cruise and meet the reindeer on a farm visit Travel through serene landscapes in a riverboat and experience the summer of the Arctic Circle. Continuing the journey, the boat will take you to the reindeer farm located by the river Ounasjoki. At the farm, you will become familiar with reindeer herding and take part in a ceremonial crossing of the Arctic Circle. Enjoy the Lappish hospitality in a hot cup of coffee and some traditional Finnish pastries before heading back to Rovaniemi city.

Santa Claus Safari
A joyful day with catamaran cruise to a handicraft workshop, visit to a reindeer farm and Santa Claus Village This day is filled with the magic of Lapland. Starting out on a catamaran boat that takes you to your first destination by the river Ounasjoki. Onshore you will discover what's inside the wooden walls of a traditional Lappish home, as a local family warmly welcomes you to their home and a handicraft workshop. Continuing the journey, the boat will take you to the reindeer farm located by the river Ounasjoki. At the farm you will be served a lunch, become familiar with reindeer herding, and take part in a ceremonial crossing of the Arctic Circle. Afternoon the day continues by car to the Santa Claus Village, where you will have an opportunity to meet the most famous Finn, Santa Claus himself. Take your time to wander around the village dotted with Finnish design and souvenir shops.

A Walk with Husky
Take the huskies for an afternoon walk and get friends with the furry sled dogs Hiking with the huskies is another great way to get to know Lappish nature and these enthusiastic Arctic animals. On arrival at the husky kennel you will be welcomed by eager, but friendly, barking as these dogs are keen to get going! Your guide will share his knowledge of the life of the sled dogs and give instructions on how to handle them. You will get to know your dog by name and the tricks he or she is capable of. The hike itself is on easy terrain, and you will be spotting various Arctic shrubs, berries, birds and perhaps even animals inhabiting the forests. After the hike it’s time to take the furry friends back to their home before rewarding yourself with some snacks and drinks around the campfire.

Arctic Day on Bike
Hop on a bike and see Rovaniemi City, Ounasvaara hillside and beautiful riverside Start the day with your local guide who will introduce you the secrets of electric biking. Even though the fatbikes look sturdy, they are great fun to ride and surprisingly agile, giving you a feeling of floating even on rugged terrain. After the guided tour, the guide will give you the best tips to explore the beautiful nature by yourself. Around Ounasvaara, lots of rideable trails await. Pack your backpack and enjoy the nature around you! Pro tips: Tour ends at riverside Restaurant – Kesärafla Sauna where you have a chance to enjoy the best burgers in Town and an open sauna. Fishing Trip with Quad Bikes
Quad bike safari from city center to a wilderness lake for fishing The slow pace of life in the Arctic is always countered with a hint of madness and momentum. The route takes you from city streets to forest trails, keeping you thrilled but safe. Reaching a forest lake, a place ideal for fishing is found, where you can try your luck with traditional fishing rods. Coffee and snacks will be prepared in the flames of the campfire. Let’s hope the fish are eager to bite, and perhaps your break is accompanied with the fresh catch of the day. Quad bikes provide you an entirely different way of manoeuvring in the forest and roads. These tractor-like quads are easy to control and equipped with steering wheel, proper seat, seat belt, rolling gage and power steering, making them behave like cars.

Depending on the season you will be finding cloudberries, blueberries, lingonberries, cranberries, and crowberries, as well as a variety of edible mushrooms. After stocking up with Lappish superfoods, relax by a campfire while your guide prepares traditional Finnish pancakes, topped with freshly picked berries to savour. Try fishing using a simple rod and hook, the technique beloved by locals. Take the time to breathe and become aware of the soothing silence of the surrounding nature.

Trekking in Lappish Nature
Let us take you to an enjoyable and relaxing nature walk with a local guide Nature is in the hearts and souls of the Lappish people and even from Rovaniemi city center you can easily get to the forest in few minutes. While enjoying an easy walk you might find traces of different animals and even see, for example, reindeer. Your guide will tell you about the special flora and fauna of the Lapland. Did you know that hanging moss grows only if the air is pure? Enjoy a peaceful break by the open fire with delicious sausage and cup of hot berry juice. Afternoon Catamaran Cruise
Join us for an afternoon sightseeing cruise to Rovaniemi riverside and soak in to the tales of old times Rivers are the most important transport routes of all times and as Rovaniemi is located at the crossing of two large rivers, it has adopted the role of the gateway to Lapland. Rovaniemi was a legendary lumberjack town, and the Ounasjoki and Kemijoki rivers were used as floating channels for the log industry from the late 1800 century until end of 1980. You will visit the Kotisaari Island which was a traditional stronghold of the Lumberjacks in Kemijoki, and only with us can you enter this idyllic island. During the cruise, you will pass by the urban city life and the green riverbanks as well as the most iconic places to enjoy the best possible views! Herbal tea and traditional tea bread will be served during the cruise.
